Please take note of the following (effective from term 3 week 1)
UNIFORM:
-Remove 2014 world thinking day patch
-Track shoes are not to be worn when in full uniform
-Please be in full uniform before leaving class to come down to the canteen --- uniforms must always be complete ie no leaving the toilet after changing without your hair braided or badges pinned on etc
-Braids are to be tied neatly and buns are not allowed --- you will have to tie it while the company waits for you should your hair not be braided
-Should you not have the complete uniform, you are not allowed to wear it at all.
All guides not in attire will have to run 3 rounds around the parade square (1st time). Subsequent times will result in 1 round added every. Your names will be recorded.
FALL IN, DISMISSAL & FOOTDRILL:
-No fidgeting -- we can see all of you very clearly
-Watches are not allowed
-All are required to answer "yes ma'am" even if the announcement does not concern you
Fall in and dismissal:
-Please raise your hand if you cannot hear us from the back
-Socks are to be pulled up so that the "SNG" word can be seen
-Nails are to be cut
Footdrill:
-When asked to greet anyone, greet them as ma'ams, not guiders/teachers
-Ask for permission before doing anything and wait for it to be granted --eg. Permission to tie shoelace ma'am
GENERAL CONDUCT:
-When someone raises her right hand, raise your right hand as well and give her your attention ie no talking etc
-Do keep up the image of SN guides when in uniform / during cca by not lying on the floor, sitting inappropriately etc
-Parents letters and MCs are to be submitted to the attendance taker automatically during the next guides session you attend -- attendance takers should not be chasing you for them. Parent letters or MCs that are not produced within the next guides session would result in you being marked down for truancy.
-After using classrooms, chairs and tables are to be moved back to their original places and litter is to be picked up
-Have a sense of urgency and walk briskly when travelling to different locations.
-Ask guiders for permission before using your phones, eating or buying drinks from the canteen. If you wish to have extra time to eat due to extra lessons, please approach a guider.
-Ask your lecturers/seniors/guiders for permission before going to the washroom.
"All for one and one for all", should any one person not follow the rules above, the entire cohort will have to do PT after fall out.
We really hope that these rules will help enforce current ones and serve as reminders if any of you have forgotten or are unaware of them. Do try your best to follow these guidelines and help snguides reach greater heights!
Keep your guiding light shining!
