Dear Guiders & YAs,
SYOGOC has again extended their invitation to GGS to be part of
another Singapore 2010 CAN! (Create Action Now!) event.
The SYOGOC organises a series of quarterly thematic festivals
called Singapore 2010 CAN! featuring youth and community events that
celebrate the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
The theme for the first Singapore 2010 CAN! Festival from April
to June 2009 is "Culture & Heritage". It will open with the CAN!
Discoverevent that aims to celebrate diversity of cultures with
Olympism.
Date: Saturday, 18 April 2009
Time: 2pm - 7pm
Venue: *scape Youth Park (diagonally opposite Cathay Orchard
Cineleisure)
Guest of Honour: Mr Zainudin Nordin, Mayor of Central Singapore

Brownies, Guides & YAs are invited to participate & volunteer in
this event to celebrate friendship across cultures with the
Singapore 2010
Youth Olympic Games in the following areas:
As Participants
1. W.A.D!'S Next Race (Ages 14 and above)#
a.. Race in the heart of town and find out fascinating facts
about our culture & heritage!
b.. Attractive prizes to be won!
c.. Certificates of participation for all race participants
d.. 6 people per team
e.. Max. 2 teams per organisation
o Report at 2:00pm, flag-off at 3:30pm

2. VisOut (For all ages)#
a.. Paint a culture of Youth & Vibrancy with friends and
family and be part of an Art Installation you can call your own!
b.. Weekly painting sessions

3. W.A.D! In The World (For all ages) #
a.. International Culture Village by embassies and
international schools showcasing world culture through food,
music, games,
and more!
b.. Try all activities at the village and get a certificate of
participation!
c.. Participants will also get limited edition CAN!
collectibles (while stocks last)!

Guides & YAs volunteers will be given event T-shirts, and would
wear the Guides/YA official scarves on top of the event T-shirt
as a group
identity and unity during the event.
Note: All participants and volunteers will proceed to *scape
Youth Park on their own, no transport will not be provided by GGS.
