PNA: Service Learning 2009
1. Please get into groups of 4. All members are to be from the same Company.
2. Decide on a few Voluntary Welfare Organizations.
A list of VWOs can be found on
Website3. Contact the organizations beforehand to find out how you can offer your services.
4. Come out with a proposal that includes:
o Name of organization you’ll be volunteering at
o How you can help at the organization
5. Please take note that you’re required to complete 30 hours at ONE VWO.
6. You’ll be given time during guides session this Friday to complete your proposal as well. Please submit your group’s proposal to the Guiders before you return home on Friday.
7. NOTE: All groups are to finish the 30 hours and a group report by Term 3. More information regarding the report will be given at a later date, thank you!

Heritage Badge
Food Heritage Trail
*Entire cohort to go on the trail together
To be done before Friday:
1. Your group is to do a research on and prepare a brief introduction on the place you’re in-charge of, ethnic food (include things like origin, taste, recipe, pictures, etc) and;
2. Research on at least 5 different food items (can be the food you’re working on for the trail)
eg. Chinese (proper meal)- Hainanese chicken rice, wan ton noodles, char kway teow etc
Indian (snacks)- chaat, muruku, pakoras etc
To be done by end of Guides session:
1. Compile information provided by all the groups;
2. Plan the route for the trail (i.e. how to get to the restaurants, stalls etc as a cohort) and;
3. Submit your cohort’s Trail proposal to Guiders
**To be completed during trail: (More details will be given at a later date)1. Your group is to do a food review on the food you have done a research on and;
2. Take photos of each restaurant/stall/food shop you visit with your group in the photo
3. All reviews, photos and information are to compiled and submitted as a cohort
